| CurrencyThe cost for each school year is
published in the Hungarian currency (forints or HUF). The actual cost
to students paying in other currencies may fluctuate somewhat over the course
of a school year, because of the continuously changing exchange
rate. This fluctuation would seldom exceed 5% in either direction during any
given 8-month period, although we cannot guarantee this will always be true.
As of February 1, 2011 the exchange rate was approximately 200 HUF per U.S. dollar (USD). Exchange rates are available on the internet at http://www.xe.com/ucc/. You can look there to see the current exchange rate or to determine approximate cost in your own currency. Please note that the actual exchange rate available in Hungary is generally 2-3% lower than the rate stated on this website. Discounts
20% Second-Year Discount
Students may continue their studies at our school for 20% less than the cost of the current year. Students who transfer to our school as a second year student from other schools are not eligible for this discount.
Dependents of Missionaries & Christian Workers
Dependents of full-time missionaries and Christian workers, including Word of Life staff members, are eligible for a 40% discount off their total school bill. This discount is available to on-campus students only.
Intern Discount
Students who served as interns with Word Of Life Hungary, prior to becoming a BI student, are eligible for a discount of up to 30% off the total cost of their first year price. This discount is pro-rated, and the entire amount will be rewarded to those who serve as interns for an entire year. For those who serve as interns and return for the second year, they will receive a 10% discount in addition to the 20% second year discount.
Recruitment Discount
A 10% discount off the total price is offered to students who recruit others to come and attend the Bible Institute. The recruiting student will receive a 10% discount for each person that enrolls in the same academic year. This discount does not apply as a refund for students who have already graduated.
Marge Wyrtzen Memorial Scholarship
The Marge Wyrtzen Memorial Scholarship is given in honor of the first wife of the late founder of Word of Life Fellowship, Jack Wyrtzen. This scholarship is made available to a limited number of students at our international Bible Institutes who not only have serious financial needs, but who have also demonstrated exemplary and consistent Christian character as observed by the Word of Life staff each year.
Resident Assistant Discount
Certain students are personally invited by the BI Dean staff to serve in a leadership capacity on campus and in the dorm rooms as Resident Assistants. The Resident Assistant Discount is 20% off the total price from any region.
Early Payment Discount
Students who pay their entire school bill by the end of September, during their enrollment year, will receive a 5% discount off of the total price.
Important Discount Information
It is important to note that there are only three discounts that can be combined with other offers: the Resident Assistant Discount, the Recruitment Discount, and the Early Payment Discount. Apart from these three exceptions, students must choose which discount is most advantageous for them financially.
