WOL Hungary Bible Institute has a very unique academic program, which combines excellent and extremely qualified guest lecturers who fly in from around the world, as well as highly motivated resident teachers who have years of teaching experience and advanced degrees. Students have to develop close personal relationships with their teachers, while also receiving very practical teaching. Our desire for each of our students is that they know not only the Bible, but the God of the Bible. They are challenged to grow in their walk with the Lord and understanding of His will for their lives. Find out more about the academic life of a student below.
A foundation for life
During just one year at the Bible Institute a student will study the entire Bible in survey form, all categories of Systematic Theology, principles of Bible Interpretation, Old and New Testament books of the Bible taught in depth, and many practical ministry courses. In the Words of a recent graduate, “It’s like drinking out of a fire hose. I THOUGHT I knew the Bible well, but I learned quickly how very little I actually knew.” When a student leaves our school they have a well-developed biblical world view and are equipped to make a difference in the world for the glory of God.
Teachers from all Around the World
We fly in some of the BEST Bible teachers from around the world, just to teach you! We have guest lecturers who come to us from well respected colleges and seminaries (Dallas Theological Seminary, Grace seminary, Cedarville University, Appalachian Bible College, Liberty University and more). We have other guest lecturers who are veteran pastors, as well as teachers who serve with essential para-church ministries (Probe, Evan-Tell, ABWE, BEE).
Devoted Resident Lecturers
We also have a well trained resident faculty with years of experience teaching. All of our resident teachers have advanced degrees from respected institutions (Dallas Theological Seminary, Grace Theological Seminary). They have committed their lives to helping young people develop a biblical worldview.
Applicational Teaching
Not only do our students learn about what God says in the Bible, but they also, learn how it applies to everyday living. Even more, our students have the unique chance to PRACTICE what they have learned through practical MINISTRY. The very first course our students take is Personal Evangelism, which teaches how to clearly communicate the Gospel message. That very next weekend our students (along with our entire staff!) load onto a bus and go share the gospel in the streets of Budapest. Each student has the opportunity to be on a regular ministry team that serves through Hungary.
Student-Teacher Relationships
Here at the Bible Institute, there are a number of resident teachers. Students will have the privilege of getting to know these teachers personally through various means: meals, ministry, class-breaks, fellowships held in their homes. This gives the student the unique opportunity to know his/her teacher on a very personal level. A student can ask any and every question they may have about…ANYTHING, really.
